2008 Hebron Tri-Centennial

As some may already know, 2008 is Hebron’s 300th Birthday.  The town committee is busy scheduling many events and has asked Amston Lake to participate by sponsoring an event.  Joanne and Carl Wool have graciously volunteered to spear-head a committee to plan and invite the Hebron community to Amston Lake in June, 2008.  In honor of this special event, ALA will hold a Community Tag/Craft Sale on “The Green” across from Main Beach.  Booths will include: local craft people, ALA food and items, a large public display of tag sales, and a booth from the Hebron’s Tri-Centennial Committee.  Additionally, a special Amston Lake T-Shirt will be designed to honor the event.

Simultaneously, at the clubhouse on Wood Acres, we are planning displays of the lake’s historical items and artifacts.  Featured presenters will be the Amston Lake Historical Society who will have postcards, books, and book signing from our very own author, Larry Zimmerman.

ALA is asking for pictures, articles, artifacts, storytellers, or anything that depicts the history of Amston Lake that can be borrowed for the displays at the clubhouse.  If you have any items, would love to help, or have questions, contact Joanne and Carl at 228-1014 or Shauna Benedict-Baier at 228-0059.  Call us too for reservations    * COMMUNITY TAG SALE *
